The consortium of IIT-Comillas, Waya Energy, TFE, TTA, and PITCO has completed the “Least-cost Electrification Study and Mini-grid Portfolio Assessment” of Pakistan.

In March of this year, Dr. Reja Amatya (COO and co-founder of Waya Energy), and Nabin Ghaire (TFE), along with local PITCO consultants completed a 10 days trip to Pakistan visiting multiple utilities (HESCO, MEPCO, QESCO), provincial energy departments (Punjab Energy Department, Balochistan Energy Department, Pakhtunkhwa Energy Development Organization), Planning Commission, and NEPRA (Regulatory Authority) showcasing the outcome of the study and visualization tool developed in the course of the project.
